Sonrise Current Events--A good group for those who like to start their day
early and with the Word of God. Current Events, which normally
meets on the first and third Thursdays of the month, begins
at 6:00 AM with Bible reading and prayer, and continues
with a discussion of some of the "hot current
events."
"Lunch with the
Lord" - A lunch-hour Bible study for women to meet Jesus as
they read and discuss chapters from the Gospel of John.
The group, led by Pastor Sutton, occasionally studies
special-interest issues arising out of the Bible
discussions. The group meets in the Parish Center from
12:00-12:55 PM on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of the month.
Teen
Bible Study--This course is led by one of our teachers, Mr. Steve
Biedenbender, for students of New Ulm Public High School and
Minnesota Valley Lutheran High School. They meet on
Thursday afternoons at 3:30pm in the school lecture room.
Teen
Center - Grades 9-12 are welcome to come to the Teen
center from 7pm-9pm for Bible study, games, and
activities.
“Don’t Know Much About…”
-- This group is especially designed for folks who
don’t like Bible Class, or have never been to a Bible study
before. American-citizen MLC students and those St. Paul’s
members who attend other Bible studies are respectfully asked not
to attend this group.
Small Group Bible Study--Small and friendly, these groups generally number 6-8
participants and provide an opportunity to get to know other
people while studying God's Word. Please contact the church
office (354-3641) for information on meeting places and
topics.
Common Interest Groups--Workshops that focus on such topics and coping with
divorce, understanding depression, single parenting, raising
children, marriage enrichment, etc. will be offered throughout
the year. Please watch the bulletin and Script for
times and places of meetings.
