Tuition Assistance Program

Program Information

The offerings of members at St. Paul’s and St. John’s churches of New Ulm support Christian education by paying for about 80% of the school’s operational expenses.  These expenses are between $4500 and $5000 per year for each student.  Because the souls of our children are precious, Christian education is worth the cost.  The operation of St. Paul’s Lutheran School is an important part of our ministry.

After generous congregational support has been applied, families of the school children must pay the remainder of the expense for Christian education.  We know that tuition can be a challenge for some families, especially those with limited income.  This is why we have a tuition assistance program.  Families that are interested in applying for assistance should note the guidelines that follow.

Generally, tuition assistance will be considered for families that have income below $35,000 per yearOther factors, such as family size, unusually high medical expenses, and high school/college tuition will also be taken into consideration.  We study all applications.  The Tuition Assistance Committee makes all decisions about grants.
